Are you a games enthusiast and looking for the opportunity to get involved in a brand-new sport? Major League Baseball is on the lookout for well-connected and influential students, passionate about sport and building communities on campus. As your university’s Games Captain, you will help drive awareness of MLB60 at your university across the academic year by hosting MLB60 games and events on-campus, showcasing how MLB60 does it different.
As part of the MLB60 team, you will be given the opportunity to lead game-play logistics for your university’s MLB60 community and spice up your CV with invaluable career skills; plus MLB60 will even fund your post-game socials so that you can enjoy music, food and drinks with your friends.
You will be paired with a MLB60 Community Captain, who is responsible for leading the social media platforms whereas you will mainly be responsible for game & players management. To kick things off, MLB60 provides the captains with an ultimate training day at Home Run House in London! Can you think of a better role that gives your year a ‘Home Run’ experience?
AS A MLB60 GAMES CAPTAIN YOU WILL:
Have connections across campus and be an influential member of societies and/sports teams
Have a keen interest in sports and want to lead and play games at your university and grow participation
Have connections across campus and be an influential member of societies / sports teams
Be a sports enthusiast with a particular interest in team sport
Know your university network inside-out
Be a social butterfly with strong communication skills
Be passionate about success and adding value – this role will be yours to really own and impress us with
Representing Major League Baseball and MLB60 on & off-campus, continuously creating awareness of the sport online and on the ground
Hosting vibrant taster sessions on campus, amplifying each game with spirited post-game socials afterwards
Working closely with the Community Captain to increase attendance at all MLB60 games and events
Engaging first year students at your Freshers’ Fair focusing on acquiring student sign ups for taster sessions
Growing participation of the game at your university and leading fun & social games
Promoting a competition across campus for students to get the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to London, including VIP tickets to Home Run Derby X in Term 3

Our chosen MLB60 Game Captains for the year will be invited to attend an immersive training day experience at Home Run House in London in w.c. 6th September to welcome you to the MLB60 Team. Full training day details will be confirmed upon accepting the role, but all successful applicants must be available to attend the MLB60 Training Day.
